CUSTOM TURNINGS

We have extensive experience producing custom turnings such as toy and craft turnings, wood furniture knobs, OEM parts, wood handles, spools, finials, wood plugs, spacers and bungs. With our Locatelli, Hemple and Goodspeed Lathes, we are able to quote and produce your custom wood turnings in an expeditious manor. We have the ability to turn, sand and finish these parts in a timely and efficient manor to satisfy your requirements. Our minimums for special turnings usually start at about 2500 pieces but depending on the shape and specie, we may be able to produce smaller quantities.

We can make these parts from many of the wood types that grow in our area. (Maple, oak, cherry, walnut, ash and poplar) We can also sometimes use customers supplied wood depending on the shape and wood specie.

Our length and diameter on custom parts can include (but may vary depending on shape) Diameter- 5/8”- 3” Length- 1/8”- 16”

All custom turning will require a tooling fee so that we can make the appropriate tool for your custom shape. Lead times for parts made in our factory are about 4-6 weeks depending on work load and quantity. This lead time can vary if a custom finish is requested.

We can also provide custom wood shapes and turnings from our partner factories off shore at small minimums and lead times of about 8-10 weeks.
